About the course

The capability to secure information within a modern enterprise is a growing challenge to most organizations. Threats to information security are global, persistent, and increasingly sophisticated.

Effective information security at the enterprise level requires participation, planning, and practice. It is an ongoing effort that requires management and staff to work together from the same script. Fortunately, the information security community has developed a variety of resources, methods, and best practices to help modern enterprises address the challenge. Unfortunately, employing these tools demands a high degree of commitment, understanding, and skill, attributes that must be sustained through constant awareness and training.

The purpose of this training is to train individuals on cybersecurity essentials and how you can protect your information from the general public.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course training, participants should be able to;

  • Assess the current security landscape, including the nature of the threat, the general status of common vulnerabilities, and the likely consequences of security failures;
  • Analyze and assess the strengths and weaknesses of general cybersecurity models, including the CIA triad;
  • Assess how all domains of security interact to achieve effective system-wide security at the enterprise level.
  • Create a good set of information security metrics;

METHODOLOGY

The instructor-led pieces of training are delivered using a combined learning approach and comprise of presentations, practical sessions, and online tutorials. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professionals and trainers in these fields.

All facilitation and course materials will be offered in English. The participants should be reasonably proficient in English.

ACCREDITATION

Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with Profound Research Services (PRC) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).

TRAINING VENUE

The training will be held at PRC Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, and lunch.

All participants will additionally cater for travel expenses, visa application(where applicable), insurance among other personal expenses.
